Description

This webinar will provide participants with the most current information from CMS related to the use of psychoactive medications for dementia-related behaviors and opioid and adjunct medications for pain management including the newest revised surveyor guidance. 

Objectives: •Participants will understand strategies to monitor and target behaviors in long term care residents •Participants will be able to explain the relationship between pain management and psychotropic medications and best practice for pain management and “behavior management” strategies •Participants will understand the importance of good documentation and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team including the resident/representative and the physician 

Webinar to be conducted from 1:30 pm to 2:45 pm and approved by NAB for 1.25 CEUs for LNHA. This webinar will be conducted via Zoom and you must be signed into your electronic device per invitation received via registration confirmation. CEUs will not be available by listening via phone.
