Description

THIS PROGRAM WILL BE APPROVED BY THE HOME CARE ADMINISTRATOR REGISTRY FOR 6 HOURS OF HOME CARE ADMINISTRATOR CEU and ALSO WILL HAVE 6 HOURS NAB APPROVAL. Dementia is one of the leading disease states for our elderly population. Caregivers both in facilities and in home care environments need to be equipped to understand what is happening in the brain, how the disease progresses, medications that are appropriate for symptoms, and adverse effects of the medications. Caregivers can also benefit with a greater understanding of how to communicate with those dealing with Dementia. There truly are ways to more effectively understand, communicate, and interact with those living with the disease. This 6 hour workshop will cover all of these areas and equip attendees with a greater understanding of the disease and give them the practical tools to more effectively care for those with Dementia.
