Join Linda Farrar, RN/LNHA, Oklahoma Nurse Consultant, as she instructs this interactive course focused ono the difference and similarities of "leadership" and "management" and how they are both needed in the role of the charge nurse including incorporation of all personality types, strengths, and weaknesses. Time will also be spent talking about topics that affect nurses in leadership roles including survey, 5-Star Ratings, documentation, and others. The course will allow time for learning from each other and networking. Objectives: 1. Participants will be able to understand the importance of all personality types to enhance the function of a team. 2. Participants will understand the role and responsibilities of being a charge nurse in a long-term care setting. 3. Participants will understand the difference between leadership and management. 4. Participants will understand how to perform an effective root cause analysis. 5. Participants will be able to understand the role of the charge nurse during the survey process.
