This on-line seminar provides an overview of federal regulations governing nursing home admissions, transfers, and discharges. It highlights key compliance requirements, resident rights, and best practices to ensure ethical and legal adherence in long-term care facilities.

Objectives:

• Participants will demonstrate understanding of the legal framework surrounding nursing home admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Participants will demonstrate understanding of how to identify the rights of residents during admission and discharge processes.
• Participants will demonstrate understanding of how to recognize the documentation requirements for transfers and discharges.
• Participants will demonstrate understanding of how to apply best practices to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to admission agreements, transferring and discharging residents.
