DON: A registered nurse who supervises the care of all the patients at a health care facility. Do you understand your role as the Director of Nursing (DON)? Join us for this 2-day workshop to gain knowledge and instruction in managing the nursing department at your facility. Topics to be discussed: Job description, Policy and Procedure; Determining Staff Needs; Management Plan; Infection Control; Lab; Wound care; Incident/Accident reporting; Restorative care; Admission process, Documentation, Legal issues, F-tags, Survey process and much more.
