This course will review basic anatomy and physiology of the skin\, identify pressure ulcer staging according to NPUAP guidelines\, review standards of care and evidence based practice in the areas of wound assessment\, wound bed preparation\, stages of healing\, prevention\, nutritional and laboratory considerations\, treatment methods and modalities\, management of chronic wounds\, arterial\, venous\, and neuropathic wounds and treatment options\, review components for accurate wound documentation and discuss multidisciplinary care approaches to wound care. This course provides a great review as well as sets the stage to enhance the attendee's knowledge base to provide better clinical outcomes in the area of skin and wound management using evidence based practice.Visitors and attendees at in-person training and/or meetings should acknowledge that there is a risk of contracting COVID-19 infection and that Care Providers Oklahoma cannot prevent and is not responsible for such risk of infection to any person who chooses to attend in-person training and/or meetings.
