This 5-week intensive series offers long-term care professionals an in-depth understanding of the regulatory requirements and process involved when an Immediate Jeopardy has been cited.

Topics will include:

*Addressing IJ's Related to Accidents/Indidents 


Target Audience: Nursing Leadership, Nursing Home Administrators, Department Heads, Director of Nursing, QA Directors, Compliance Staff 

CEU: This program will be NAB approved for 1 contact hour for each session attended live.

October 14 - Writing the IJ Removal Plan

Discover critical components and timeframes for an IJ Removal Plan that will improve the likelihood of survey agency approval, as well as, expedite the IJ removal survey revisit process. Vital information for developing an IJ removal plan to prove past jeopardy will also be explored.

October 21 - Preparing for the IJ Revisit and the Plan of Correction

Dive into preparing for the IJ revisit, developing a credible and compliant Plan of Correction (PoC), organizing supporting evidence, and demonstrating lasting systemic change.  Learn practical strategies to avoid common pitfalls, ensure survey readiness, and build confidence that your facility is prepared to successfully close out the Immediate Jeopardy.

October 28 - Addressing IJs Related to Abuse

This presentation will focus on the essential components of an Immediate Jeopardy Removal Plan for deficiencies cited for Abuse. Critical components and timeframes of Abuse IJ Removal will be discussed with actual deficiency examples. The attendee will become aware of vital information for developing an IJ Removal Plan to prove Past Jeopardy.

November 4 - Addressing IJs Related to Infection Control

Focus on the essential components of an Immediate Jeopardy Removal Plan for deficiencies cited for Infection Control. Critical components and timeframes of Infection Control IJ Removal will be discussed with actual deficiency examples and practical guidance to improve compliance.

November 11 - Addressing IJs Related to Accidents/Incidents

Explore essential components of an Immediate Jeopardy Removal Plan for deficiencies cited for Accidents and Incidents. Critical components and timeframes of Accident/Incident IJ Removal will be discussed with actual deficiency examples. The attendee will become aware of vital information for developing an Accident/Incident IJ Removal Plan to prove Past Jeopardy.

Time

Webinars will be conducted 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Central time. 

This is a weekly series, totaling 5 weeks. CEU will only be available if attending the live sessions each week, however, recordings of session will be made available for viewing if missed.
